10 Things: Lists of lists, pie, peanuts
Things to cook, read, think about, buy, and wonder this week.
This week has felt like a bit of a whirlwind for me. All the weeks are feeling like that lately, and I’m OK with it; if time is going to speed up, it might as well be as the seasons are slowing down.

Pies are in magazines.
It is finally the time of year when there are new pie recipes in all the magazines. Behold:
The NYT published nine new pie recipes, and immediately screen-shotted it to show you. They recommend making the caramel apple variety first, which I will not be doing; but I do see two of these making it to my Thanksgiving table.
Party peanuts.
I have not shared with the general public about Party Peanuts yet, and it’s time to do it. My friend Erin’s mom invented this game, and we recreated it for Erin’s 40th birthday party. It will be making reappearances at subsequent parties.
STEP ONE: Make the party peanuts. I ordered tiny hats off the internet and stick-on googly eyes. You can also paint the peanuts.
STEP TWO: Hide them in hard places, where the party will be taking place.
STEP THREE: Make a “find the peanuts sheet,” and print. (Below.)
STEP FOUR: Let your friends hunt for the peanuts throughout the whole party. Winners might get… party peanuts. This is VERY fun.
