thank you for this generous artwriting! always and specifically today!
regarding your thinking that "what if i wrote about my journaling habit" could be a boring topic, may i offer an assortment of immediate responses including "i'm excited to hear about your journaling habit" AND i think that ANYTHING that follows "what if i wrote about..." could be the exact right place to start writing because it's right there, right here, right now, THE THING! THE THING YOU ARE THINKING AND FEELING! so i'm glad you thought it and shared it and shared all that you did.
and now, to answer your questions:
about my favorites,
song: i have so many and one of them is "black water" by the doobie bros (great for road trips!)
ice cream: any kind of vegan peanut butter chocolate thing
season: spring
tv show: so many and some of them are the good wife/fight/place
word: copacetic
dessert: any kind of vegan peanut butter chocolate thing
condiment: mustard
animal: my girlfriend and myself and also you and also all humans and also cats and octopuses (or octopodes or however you like it) and hippos and many more!
explanation (as requested):
the reason "black water" is such a great song is because all of its parts are great. you know how some songs have a verse that is fine and a chorus that is incredible? well, this song has many parts and they are each of them incredible. so fun to sing along to. or just listen to. or just think about or write about like i'm doing now.
the last thing i
ate: i think it was a lentil wrap from trader joe's. i ate a lot of things last night before going to bed and i forget the order of them in part because one of the things i ate was a weed edible
read: "strange academy," a graphic novel by skottie young about a magic school in the marvel universe
said out loud: a good-bye on the phone to my friend zach a few minutes ago (i forget exactly how)
cried about: the beauty of the music and art and story in the tv show "muppets mayhem"
one of my childhood crushes was a girl named jen who i went to high school with and we had classes together and i thought we had a "will they won't they" kind of thing and it was more a "they won't" because she had a boyfriend and so i stopped crushing on her after i gave her a gift and wrote her a note telling her how i felt and she wrote back a note and a DIFFERENT girl named jen delivered it to me and her note said she just wanted to be friends which was nice in a way because i don't think we even were that!
for my birthday (which is in october) i want to celebrate with people i love. if i'm not traveling, i usually tell people that i'll be at various restaurants or parks or shows or places around NYC and i'll invite them to join at those places for those things. it usually works out really nicely, meeting up with a combination of people who are dear dear friends and also cool acquaintances who are available! the whole spectrum of people i know and love.
thanks for asking these questions and sharing all that you do!
