A Note For You — SERIOUSLY!
Also: please draw your shoes with a pen for me and send them to me thank you.
Today I did something weird, which is: I hand-wrote you a letter? Of course, it didn’t scan all that well, and I think of my handwriting as being more legible than it is.
This is my notebook, which is a hardcover Maleden 8.5” x 11” notebook with dots. I require a back pocket, and that the pages be pretty thick, and that there be two ribbon bookmarks. Check, check, check.
I have some good stickers on here, huh? Bottom left is by the brilliant
chida (their work is mind-blowingly good, and their Substack, , is also really great). Top left is , my celebrity crush of the year. The Cleveland Reads sticker was a gift from reader Jay, who sends me my favorite Internet things, reliably. And the cat exercise stickers were given to me by my gf early-on in our relationship and I really saved the hell out of them. Seed Savers Exchange is where I get all my weird seeds. If you can’t read my writing, you can listen to this post instead; I read it out loud, and you need only click on the Voiceover button at the top.
A Note for You, If You’re Having A Bad Day

PS - Here’s a PDF to the survey, in case you want to print it out and fill it out and send it to me! I would also love it if you took a minute to draw your shoes with your pen, snap a picture, and email it! I’ll publish ANY I receive in next week’s issue.

I only sold a very, very small number of this print, which makes me wonder if you scoffed about my price increase for inflation. (Fair.) In truth, I’d been losing money on these prints for a while, and decided to increase the price as a result. The cost of supplies for each print is about $7 (Paper! Expensive ink! Packaging!), and to mail them for free is another $2 (or more). Then I put stickers, sequins, and a hand-written note in each envelope, which I like to hand-letter for further cuteness. So, cost-of-production is $10 on the low end. This may be too much information, and you may not care — but in case I’ve made my case: please buy one!
That’s all this time around! I love you.
Your writing is not only legible but spirited af.
love your writing. and thank you for the reminder of the print! i finally ordered one for myself 😁
