this week, with the new moon and the solar eclipse, every single newsletter/horoscope/wellness info that i received was like: just rest. and i like to try to honor that, i really do try, but the universe made sure i got the message and i came down with a cold. so i have been forced to cancel my yoga classes, or find subs, and cancel every optional thing that was on my calendar. so i’m at home in bed for the second full day. i hope the universe is happy 😬 enjoy your break to witness the leaves and witness nature! i hope it does your heart & spirit good 🧡

Omg (great book) I love this idea and I’m totally implementing it (in my own way) as well. Because as much as I’m NOT a “creature of habit” (even dislike the term), I do enjoy the subtle semblance of a structure - which I will inevitably enjoy bucking.

I love the idea of something to look forward to every 6 weeks and the way you made it happen. I am also in Leaf Phase here (though I did not think of it so concretely until your email today - thank you) and it is glorious!

thank you as always for all of this.

some specifics i like among all of this that i like:

-- the druids celebrate something eight times a year

-- this week I am celebrating leaves.

-- basically, it’s Leaves Week

-- I’m happy to gift subscriptions to folks in a crunch. I have no idea why I haven’t said this sooner, since it has always been true.

-- I believe in rest, but I don’t always take it for myself. A reader emailed me recently and lovingly told me that I needed to model these things, not just tell other people to do them.

-- everything!

thanks friend! enjoy your days of rest AND the rest of your days!

PS that last part is kind of an homage to the wonderful sleepy's mattress slogan, "for the rest of your life"
