Thank you, Sophie, for these great tips! I too am a cookie enthusiast, and understand the urge to make all the cookies. Last night I baked Christmas sugar cookies and tonight I plan to ice them.
I haven’t had an advent calendar since I was a kid. This year I ordered one for my cousin which has a new crab fact each day - maybe next year I will get one for myself.
One idea to add to your gift list (I love this idea!) is to include a list of things you want, so when people ask what you would like for Christmas/chanukah/birthday, you can have some ideas to give them. I often struggle to think of something I want when someone asks me, but think of things randomly throughout the year.
I've definitely not been feeling in the festive mood this year, but as I live far from family, and it is just the two of us, we've opted out without too much fuss or feeling like we 'should' be doing more. Still watched a couple of Christmas movies, and partaken of the food treats we like, but no parties etc. And that's fine just fine!
I may adopt the 'just one cookie a month' idea as a personal challenge for 2023. Christmas cookies weren't a thing growing up (we were a mince pie, sausage roll, and cheese straw household) so it would be nice to explore some. Although also dabbling maybe with a dumpling a month, exploring dumplings from different cultures....we'll see where the enthusiasm falls!
Got to admit I am very excited for mail. And receiving it in January when the mailbox gets quieter after Christmas, and the days are still short and grey? A lovely treat to look forward to. Thank you in advance!
Happy last couple of weeks of 2023 to everyone, however you choose/are obliged to spend them.
Love the cover pic. Love my light box. Love.
Yeah! It's you!
I love your office. And I told those people in the copter that the best writer and artist in the world works in your office. YOU!

I hope your week is restful and fun, everyone!
Isabella, YOU ARE A BAKING ENTHUSIAST. I love this about you and I love when you tell me about it!

Absolutely! I already do this, but should have included it here. It makes a huge difference!

Dumpling A Month sounds GREAT. Love that. And I'm looking forward to the mail sending, too! It's really coming together!
